In my travels in what was the old USSR, from Latvia, to Ukraine and all the way to the Russian Far East I found the Russians, and others in regards to Christianity, not much different than Americans. Most were baptized, in secret. As for their faith away from their professed religion not much different than what I see in the US. I came away with this thought. In Russia the party line was atheist. You could go participate in church, but as for jobs of any value and stability you had to be a member of the communist party to be an economic social elite. You had to be officially atheist to be elite. In the west if you are a Christian with faith you can never be a member of the economic social elite because you are considered an oddball. Being an oddball you can never be a economic social elite in the US. Just a thought.

Oh, but you can say you are, just to placate the ones you wish to include you. SMH

PO1 H Gene Lawrence - I am smiling! You are correct. Next time someone asks me if I am Christian I am going to respond, “Why are you asking me this question? Are you going to throw me in with Athenian Slaves to the Lions?"
