For me this man created modern Europe, or a least a large influence on modern European culture. Not sure how Napoleon has or is causing any division in France; unless just for arguments sake, 200 year celebration gives the French a start in a good engaging conversation. The French love to banter. By the way many American tell me the French are rude. For me many times when they appear rude, is not them trying to be rude, but trying to put some life into boring conversation. LOL
