Some valid points. It is worth observing that most of the LCS breakdowns seem to be confined to the Freedom class. The Independence class has not been having the same systemic reduction gear issues. The Zumwalt .... well cost overruns aside, it was Congress' decision to limit the class to 3, and that decision drove up the price of the ammo, while I won't argue that the Navy tried to do too much too fast technology wise, not all the blame can be placed on them. As far as the Ford goes, she seems to have worked through her teething problems and be about ready for prime time. We'll see. It is worth noting that first in class has almost always had some issues, especially with integrating new technology, and there certainly is plenty of that on the Ford.
