We don't do enough to support military families.

And they are also under significant stress when family member is deployed to a combat zone.

Charlie, you like me, enlisted in the military with far less support than those joining today. Despite that, we sucked it up and made a career of it. I was an E-5 with six years in service before marrying the woman whom I’m still married to 56 years later. When first married, my base pay was $220 per month. We watched our money and lived better than most of our peers. Point being, there are far more benefits and pay today, if you come into the military, you agree with conditions as they are. The life of one serving is as it is and will never become comparable to our civilian counterparts. Difficult to get Congress to be concerned about the 1.3 million serving, when 10s of millions of voters on the dole demanding more.

Join nearly 2 million former and current members of the US military, just like you.
