Under Modi, India has developed a greater acceptance for the U.S. moving away from Russia, which helped India develop its forces to counter Chinese and Pakistani aggression along the LoC and the LAC (two imaginary lines that the British Raj invented to delineate national boundaries and which lines China and Pakistan want to change to suit their palates).
