Good Tuesday morning, Burroughs Posse Leader from the quiet darkness of night... Sunrise is not for 20-25 minutes, so I am only on my cell... More to follow... Back again...

It is: “Compare Yourself to Others Day!” Do you or don't you? That is the question!

"Don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle, or your middle to someone else’s end. Don’t compare the start of your second quarter of life to someone else’s third quarter.” – Tim Hiller, Strive: Life is Short, Pursue What Matters

“Stop thinking you’re doing it all wrong. Your path doesn’t look like anybody else’s because it can’t, it shouldn’t, and it won’t.” – Eleanor Brown

“If you think by comparing them you’re making them inspire, you couldn’t be more wrong.” – Sarvesh

“Do yourself a favour never compare yourself to others because comparison swallows your God given gift.” – Euginia Herlihy

“Comparison is the death of joy.” – Mark Twain

“Be at peace with where you’ve been and where you are. That’s how you win the battlefield of the mind.” – Andrena Sawyer\

Remember Brothers and Sisters...

“Your Leadership is unique, don’t compare yourself to others. You will waste a lot of time and energy. Don’t lose your focus, miss opportunities, and self-esteem.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I hope you have self-confidence combined with humility; are aware of your personal strengths and weaknesses, and striving to improve. No doubt you are aware that the LORD works through our weakness as HE demonstrates HIS strength. I pray that you are spiritually mature enough to be thankful to the LORD for the good and the bad. ‘But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. [2 Corinthians 12:8b-9 ESV] my brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see).

I pray for an increase of the fruit of the Holy Spirit agape [selfless] love, peace, and self-control for each and every one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. I thank YOU LORD Holy Spirit for dwelling with the soul of each of who are YOUR adopted sons and daughters. YOU sanctify the soul of each of us in YOUR perfect timing and sequence as YOU transform our soul into YOUR image. ‘Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.' [Philippians 4:8-9 ESV]
I lift each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who are struggling with pride as well as its cousin’s jealousy and envy to YOU LORD. I pray for an increase in transparency, discernment and humility for each of us LORD. 'A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot. [Proverbs 14:30-31 ESV]
I lift the abused, the sex-trafficked, slaves, street walkers, runaways, the suicidal, and other denizens of the night to YOU LORD. YOU allow evil to seem to triumph for a season. YOUR patience was sufficient for each of us to recognize our need for salvation in response to the earnest prayers of the saints for our salvation. I pray that YOU deliver as many of the abused, the sex-trafficked, and slaves from their tormentors and that YOU regenerate the soul of most of them as a many of their tormenters as YOU are willing. ‘The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. [1 Timothy 1:15-17 ESV]
As far as those who are focused too much on comparison with others especially the individuals who believe they are repulsive, I pray that YOU remind each one that they are precious in YOUR sight. 'For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.' [Psalm 139:13-14a ESV]
I pray that you and your family members are he4lthy and that the soul of each of you is prospering.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. I have the second interview coming up this morning...working to coffee fuel so I can make some sort of sense (I hope).
Comparing oneself to others is a waste of time and energy. We end up comparing our "insides" to others "outsides" since we have no idea what they have experienced or what they are going through. The best comparison is to oneself...have you improved since... have you done better...worked harder than yourself a set amount of time ago? We ae all individuals and our job is to do our best as ourselves not as someone else.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Comparing yourself from your past to comparing yourself today can be a good thing or a call to "action" to change the direction you're headed in Charlie. The perspective you took is right on today and here are some additonal thoughts from me on the topic...

“Why compare yourself to others? It’s a losing proposition. You are who you are and your unique. You have gifts and talents of your own to share with your friends, family and the world. When you start wishing you had someone else’s life, talents, and uniqueness you lose sight of who you are and what your purpose is in life.

‘Don’t compare yourself to others, you are you. No one could come close to being you even if they tried.’ — Unknown Author

May you always be you and never compare yourself to others; it’s a waste of energy, time, and your life; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Here’s to be you- Salute.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good morning Col Burroughs and all the rest of my RP family. We are all unique and truly can not compare to another. Neither can someone truly be compared to us individually. I know that we try to do this but it usually ends up a great frustration for us. Their is one that I strive to emulate and that being the Lord and Savior of my life, Jesus, the Christ. I know that it is not attainable but I try nonetheless. I ask an honest question, have any of you compared your life successfully to another? I am certain that the answer will be in the negative. The Bible instructs us to be ourselves and not compare ourselves with another. I hope that you get a blessing from the scripture verse and link that I have provided below. Many blessings today and always, to you and yours.

2 Corinthians 10:12 ESV
Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding.
