I fail to see how that's "cancelling" Dr Seuss when multiple schools are still highlighting Dr Seuss around the country. I don't even understand why Dr Seuss needs to be specifically mentioned and highlighted on Read Across America.
It's still in my daughter's school. There's flyers about it at her school, at daycare and any of my nieces and nephews as well.
Of all the things in the world, this is what conservatives choose to focus their anger on? Really? Dr Seuss did have racist caricatures in his books - but no one cancelled him. Calm down. You probably got mad at Hasbro for relabeling their brand "Potato Head" even though they kept individual Mr and Mrs Potato Head (and potatoes don't have a gender). Smh.

SFC (Join to see) - Biden has been accused of sexual assault, made racists statements, admitted to quid pro quo, and the list goes on. Yet liberals think its ok. The political correctness in this country has gone too far. Why change Mr. or Mrs if its not a big deal? Because of the mindless liberals are taking it to that level. It is stupid to change the name of something because it might offend someone.

One accusation of sexual assault that was verbatim from a book her dad wrote. That only came up when he was running against Bernie. Then she vanished. Her story also changed - and yes victims will remember details later but in my experience, generally their basic story doesn't change much. Hers did. The sexual harassment allegations, he addressed those women. He apologized to them. He said he realized social standards have changed and he will do better to respect people's boundaries. When did Trump ever apologize to anyone?
Racist comments - I think nearly all of those claimed to be racist have been debunked.
No one thinks what Biden has done that was in poor taste was "ok" that's the difference between Trumpublicans and EVERYONE ELSE. YOU all put Trump on an idol and ignore literally EVERY racist, sexist, misogynistic, xenophogic thing he ever says. CPAC literally made a golden idol of him. You don't think it's gone too far with that yet?
They - did - not - change - the - characters. At all. There is STILL a Mr and Mrs Potato Head. They are going to expand their brand so the OVERALL brand is "Potato Head" to introduce more characters. If you go look at the box it STILL SAYS Mr or Mrs.

The article does not say that Biden is cancelling Dr. Seuss, but rather that he has erased mention of him. Possibly in response to a liberal call to cancel him.
And he DID erase Dr. Seuss from a day which was chosen specifically to honor his contributions - Read Across America Day is THEODORE GEISEL'S BIRTHDAY.
There is no rule saying Biden has to mention Seuss. He is well within his rights to completely ignore the made-up holiday entirely, if he wants. But not mentioning Seuss on the day which was created, in part, to honor his legacy and contributions, is at least a LITTLE bit suspect.
Imagine celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and not mentioning the late Reverend. Or celebrating President's day and not mentioning any President.

No one is trying to "cancel" him though. I really don't think Biden was trying to cancel him - and it's still being celebrated at schools all across America.

What’s next will I have to give away my home, my car, my health insurance, what little money I have, should we burn the Bible, should we not pray to god because he just might be white who really knows his color, these people are the very people that are going to distory this country and what it used to stand for at one time it stood for everyone what ever color you were and no matter were you came from now it stands for a selection of very few.
