Not really odd, mire like really odd. I have never seen such an outpouring of love and support for an 'EX-President'. Even Mr. Reagan didn't garner this kind of admiration.

I can see it. He was a President who spent pretty much all of his time and energy appealing to his base voters (and nobody else), thereby deepening the support of his base voters (and nobody else). Simply put, he has strong support from a minority of Americans. That explains why his approval ratings are so high with the GOP voters, yet his overall approval rating with all voters never surpassed 50%. It also explains why he never won the popular vote in 2016 or 2020. It also explains why, during his Presidency, he lost control of the House and the Senate.
