Inside Nancy Pelosi’s District: This Is Not What America Should Look Like

A good portion of California is now a 3rd world country

I’ve no love for NP—far from it—but the title of the piece and a great deal of the narrative is misleading. Seattle has the same problem, not to the same extent—yet. Like Seattle the City by the Bay has a governance that is responsible for the on the ground travesty. The reality is that the failed social experiment is the result of solutions cobbled up by a city leadership consisting of people without the necessary expertise and is constantly in the churn of elections. It may be NP’s district but she is at a federal level not involved in and, in reality, not responsible for the day to day of the city. A Congressional District’s Representative just doesn’t have the authority over a city. It’s the do-gooder council, city management and civil servant community responsibility. A mayor cannot enact policies without the others! support.

While the democratic election system is sacred it has its flaws as it doesn’t really have penalties for failure to do the job other than election results..

As an aside, I have a lapel pin the says “-40 degrees keeps out the riff-raff”. It’s from Fargo ND, a place with few street people and low unemployment. Ever wonder why? Can’t beat the Seattle and S. F. weather and social services.

She is living in a gated community in a fenced in house but doesn't want fences or likes them and she enjoys her multiple flavors of ice cream while her constituents starve to death and are homeless.
