The problem with this is “extremism” is a very subjective term. Many people think anyone who voted for Trump are extremists simply because they voted for him. You can’t use objective actions to regulate a subjective idea. Racism and discrimination are already supposed to be dealt with harshly in our services. If they’re not, then attack that problem.

As long as they address the extremism on all sides it's a good idea. They won't, and it'll turn into a witch hunt. I see DOD mandated bullet statements on everyone's OER\NCOER in everyone's future. Thankfully, my retirement orders protect me from these shenanigans.
