The Bee Gees jumped on the Disco Wagon almost at the beginning with "Saturday Night Fever" which was one of the songs in the movie of the same name! The person who posted this song on YouTube, wrote:
"Night Fever" is a disco song, written and performed by the Bee Gees. Recorded April 1977 in Château d'Hérouville, France and 1977 September Criteria Studios, Miami, Florida, United States. Released 7 February 1978. It first appeared on the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever. Producer Robert Stigwood wanted to call the film Saturday Night, but singer Robin Gibb expressed hesitation at the title. Stigwood liked the title Night Fever, but was wary of marketing a movie with that name. He combined the two suggestions and the idea for Saturday Night Fever as a motion picture was born.
Starring: Tony Manero (John Travolta), Stephanie Mangano (Karen Lynn Gorney), Anette (Donna Pescow), Double J (Paul Pape). "Night Fever" remained the number one Billboard Hot 100 single for over two months in 1978. It also replaced Andy Gibb's "Love Is Thicker Than Water" at number one, and was in turn replaced by Yvonne Elliman's "If I Can't Have You" all of which were written and produced by the Gibb brothers. In addition to Saturday Night Fever, the song has also appeared in the movie and on the soundtrack for Mystery Men. The song lists at number 33 on Billboard's All Time Top 100." - Thaapa1 YT channel.
LYRICS:
"Night Fever"
(from "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack)
Listen to the ground:
There is movement all around.
There is something goin' down
And I can feel it.
On the waves of the air,
There is dancin' out there.
If it's somethin' we can share,
We can steal it.
And that sweet city woman,
She moves through the light,
Controlling my mind and my soul.
When you reach out for me
Yeah, and the feelin' is right,
Then I get night fever, night fever.
We know how to do it.
Gimme that night fever, night fever.
We know how to show it.
Here I am,
Prayin' for this moment to last,
Livin' on the music so fine,
Borne on the wind,
Makin' it mine.
Night fever, night fever.
We know how to do it.
Gimme that night fever, night fever.
We know how to show it.
In the heat of our love,
Don't need no help for us to make it.
Gimme just enough to take us to the mornin'.
I got fire in my mind.
I get higher in my walkin'.
And I'm glowin' in the dark;
I give you warnin'.
And that sweet city woman,
She moves through the light,
Controlling my mind and my soul.
When you reach out for me
Yeah, and the feelin' is right,
Then I get night fever, night fever.
We know how to do it.
Gimme that night fever, night fever.
We know how to show it.
Here I am,
Prayin' for this moment to last,
Livin' on the music so fine,
Borne on the wind,
Makin' it mine.
Night fever, night fever.
We know how to do it (Feels like forever baby, don't you know)
Gimme that night fever, night fever.
We know how to show it (I'll leave you never baby, don't you know)
Night fever, night fever.
We know how to do it (Feels like forever baby, don't you know)
Gimme that night fever, night fever.
We know how to show it (I'll leave you never baby, don't you know)
Night fever, night fever.
We know how to do it (Feels like forever baby, don't you know)
