Ladies and gentlemen we have a problem. That’s more than twice the national average of veterans in the population.
I’d guess there are going to be some serious questions about if this was something where people likely to do this sought out the military or if there was something from their service that made them more likely to participate in an assault on our capitol.

I can’t figure out where this is all coming from. Isn’t there a straight forward definition of loyalty and fidelity to protect our constitution that is taught to our military anymore?

PO1 H Gene Lawrence Logic can be twisted in a lot of ways. For years I've been worried about the group "Oath Keepers" that comprised a lot of these people. Their reason for being was they were protecting the constitution even after they left service. The dangerous part was that they replaced our official system of interpreting and enforcing with Constitution with their own judgement on what the Constitution means and calls for. That's a recipe for insurrection and sure enough, that's what we got.
