Going for 1,000th Win by Army Hockey Under Riley Family Coaching

Army Hockey going for 1000th win this week under leadership of three members of the Riley coaching dynasty.

Jack Riley, WWII Navy pilot, Dartmouth grad, coach of 1960 US Olympic Hockey team that won Gold Medal at Squaw Valley. Coached Army starting in 1950 thru 1986 winning 542 games.

Son Rob Riley was coach 1986 - 2004 winning 257 games.

Son current coach Brian Riley after 13 years as Army assistant coach, assumed head coaching duties in 2004-05, won his 200th game coaching Army hockey with December 5th 2-0 win over Bentley.

Army plays AIG three times this week:
Wednesday 5 PM Jan 6 at West Point
Thursday 5 PM Jan 6th at West Point
Sunday 4 PM Jan.10 at AIG in Springfield, MA
