This happened in my hometown. There is more than appears. This pharmacist is a conspiracist. It was his belief that not only was the vaccine not safe but that it would change the DNA in a person to whom it was administered. I had previously posted that I didn't know there were so many unofficial members of QAnon. This is what happens when one sees a conspiracy everywhere as this man did. I have recently experienced this with a friend and was befuddled by his response. I have known him for over 40 years and just over the last year discovered he appears to be one of those unofficial members. He posted something that is not only false but demonstrably so. A small piece of it was that there were more people voting than were registered and proceeded to say there were 131,000,000 registered voters in 2020. There were actually 153,000,000 who voted in 2016. That number had to go up not down. Though that number is easily checked, as were the other numbers, he simply said he didn't believe them. Conspiracy theorists and adherents can't be expected to use facts to derive a judgement when it conflicts with their predetermined ideas if he is a typical example. I respect the opinions of all but am discouraged and concerned by the many things I have seen in line with my friend's response.
