I would prefer bills be voted on as stand-alone, but the practice of adding pet projects onto bills is an old one.

Cpl (Join to see) I think that adding addition items to a bill should be punishable by public flogging....

Cpl (Join to see) - I would agree to term limits, but that would take a constitutional amendment and we know how hard that would be. Refusing to vote for a candidate would not work because we are all stuck on party.

While the media and parties have us fighting each other, they are getting away with un-Constitutional legislation, every day. Some of the Amendments that have been passed were extremely quick, like Presidential term limits. The cure isn't a left or right thing, it's an American thing.

There are still two ways to pass an Amendment. Article V emphatically states either the congress OR the states can propose amendments. I've written my state and federal legislators advocating for Term Limits and since my federal legislator says "no," I vote against him in the primary.

Cpl (Join to see) - I understand. I live in a very red state and as a registered Democrat, I am lucky to even get an answer when I write my state and federal legislators. I am sure it is the same in blue states. But I keep trying.
