I know, they won fair and square. The dynamics of the pandemic changed the normal routine. Players benched for positives, locations changed, teams forfeiting. It impacts the whole season. That is the point that I, apparently, failed to project. Sorry for the miscommunication.

Quite frankly, GySgt Gary Cordeiro, I’m surprised Army beat Air Force. I expected Army to beat Navy, and I expected Air Force to beat Army. The Falcons have historically been the stronger team, and were favored to win today. Army played THREE I-AA (FCS) teams earlier in the season because of rescheduling due to COVID, so even though they didn’t get to play their original schedule, they did get to play eleven games and the Falcons only played six. I just didn’t think Army played enough quality opponents to go toe to toe with Air Force.
Your point was not lost on me in the least, but the “dynamics of the pandemic” affected Army also. My apologies if I sounded a bit cavalier.
BTW, at OCS we were all called puke routinely! In fact, we were more frequently called miserable pukes!

You’re not wrong, SSG Michael Noll, and if the invitations go out as projected, it may be a bad day for the Black Knights! ESPN currently has Army facing OREGON in the Independence Bowl on December 26! Invitations are not yet released so there are no odds yet. However, were they playing this weekend, Sagarin would give Oregon almost a two touchdown advantage. I’m hoping some other team gets the invitation!
