Dr. Strangelove Mandrake and General Ripper Bodily Fluids
Mandrake and General Ripper discuss fluridation of water and how it affects the bodily fluids
Do people still believe they aren't sapping our precious bodily fluids? LMBO!

"...and yet many of us routinely find ourselves arguing with people who have rejected well-established scientific facts."
Interestingly some of those people are stretching the facts so much that you can see the actual holes in their belief.
Prime example - People that should know the difference claim that "slow" is the same as or equal to "prevent."
COL (Join to see), on the mask issue are you on the side of "slow" or are you on the side of "prevent?"

Im a scientist. I don’t take sides. I follow data and/or logic.
I wear an N95 or P100 to treat patients with COVID. It prevents.
I wear an N95 when in public spaces. It prevents.
When I’m in the gym I separate from all but use a cloth mask. Between the 2 measures it reduces risk. Not as much as my N95, but more than nothing.

COL (Join to see) - You're a scientist? It shows that you are a physician in your profile. Though I suppose most of us are scientist of one sort or another, including one of the most important of all, the farmer.
But in trying to dodge my question, you actually answered it partly. What you failed to mention was the type of N95 masks that you use. I am not familiar with the P100, but that is now data that I will need to collect, thanks.
And since you used the generic when stating the N95, I will call you on that and make a raise - Not all N95 mask are preventive mask within the intent of the general public, so that actually negates the one prevent statement. Also the raise - The N95 mask (whichever type) is not preventable for SARS-CoV-2 since the filtering efficacy is not sufficient enough to actually stop that particular virus and several others (the other virus information is in the literature for the masks); and size information for the SARS-CoV-2 virus is from the CDC/NIH website.

SSG Robert Webster if you know more, post the data or shut up. If I have to defend how a professor of medicine is a scientist to you than you should move on to someone else because you just sound ridiculous.

COL (Join to see) - I have posted the data. And I have posted it on articles that you have posted. I have posted links directly to the CDC and NIH pages specific to those items. And I sound ridiculous? Your the one that sounds ridiculous. I have backed up my claims.
And you of all people should know that the N95 mask by itself is not a preventive due to its efficacy, and that it is only an aid. And taken that there are at least two types of N95 mask the one has 0% efficacy at preventing the actual spread of anything and that is the ones with the outlet valve. If anything due to the restrictive path it actually accelerates the outgoing particles and sends them further than the approximate 6 foot spread without a mask.
By the way, here is one of the NIH posting on the efficacy of the N95 rated masks. I am sure that you could easily come up with the requisite information about the size of the transport particle for SARS-CoV-2.
