You refer to national politics, but it is already happening at the state level. Connecticut already issued fines to people refusing to comply with COVID-19 restrictions

COVID is a fucking joke and the fear/paranoia surrounding it should a bigger public safety concern than the virus itself. To put it in perspective; there's been 1.23M deaths attributed to it. Even if ALL of them were in the U.S. that's roughly 0.4% of the population. That percentage gets even smaller when you use the global population yet we've decided that shutting down the whole goddamn world for 4-8 months was the best course of action?
