On November 2, 2000, the first residential crew arrives aboard the International Space Station. The arrival of Expedition 1 marked the beginning of a new era of international cooperation in space and of the longest continuous human habitation in low Earth orbit, which continues to this day.

It interesting a cooperation at some level anyway and people there from different backgrounds and nations in such close proximity to cooperate with and learn from each other. In the process maybe they will find they have more in common than they thought before. n experiment in space that goes beyond just equipment.

India and Pakistan, woven from the same fabric, are archrivals today; the two were one Nation under God previously. The two have trained their weapons on each other today. However, overseas, in the U.S. and Europe, Indians are one with Pakistanis and vice versa; the people of both countries cohabitate abroad like family. Aboard the ISC people of different countries will come together as one to assure success of the Program.
