Keeler AFB, in Biloxi, MS was my duty station for almost 2-Years, back in the 1960's during the Cuban Missle Crisis... It is a big base and to read out...The majority of my technical training was done there... I hope their damage was minimal...

Lt Col Charlie Brown I spent the best part of a year, IN the Keesler AFB Hospital with injuries sustained from being run over by a Hit & Run driver off base...another few months in therapy so I could return to my squadron...and complete my training...

Keesler is where I got my tech school training. Fond memories of the triangle area.

I have a couple Army buddies retired outside Keesler, they are up on FB so they must have power, they have not mentioned anything beyond that they weathered the storm. I don't think it is as bad as it has been twice around Lake Charles. Relatives just north of there were without power for 19 and 6 days after those two storms. I let all involved in all three cases know I was willing to fill the 4Runner with batteries, bags of rice, canned goods, soap/detergent, cases of water, etc., and head down, but nobody took me up on it.

SSG Samuel Kermon - They all have generators and what they really want is gasoline. I'm not hauling gasoline, someone with a pickup can handle that one.
