Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen Great News, My Son was Treated at RAF Lakenheath, Walter Reed and Bremerton Naval Hospital. First Grandchild was born at Bremerton Naval Hospital. (That was a Long Time Ago but still).

I've not lived within 100 miles of a military installation in 20 years, and use civilian care exclusively.

Fortunately I do live close and use a combination. Our PCMs are military but any specialists are civilian.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - I've got no complaints. I've been with the same primary care doc for nearly 10 years.

I really am no expert on this issue. However, it is my understanding that someone high up asked the question is the alternative to MTFs not supporting Tricare feasible? The answer was no, but the DOD wanted to rail road this process down our throats.

Don't know but I think many didn't support it. I know when it was first announced my wife's provider at the base clinic told her not to worry.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Yeah they wanted to rail road the process without an impact statement for people like your family and mine. If I am correct this was also budget driven. More money for the military and less money for Tricare families.
