MAJ Ken Landgren - We may be using a different definition of rational. To me it just means that their thought process is consistent and has logic behind it. I think those things are true of Trump, it's just what you get when there are absolutely no moral and ethical considerations into the decision making process. It doesn't make him irrational and I believe to think he is irrational leads a lot of people to underestimate him.
No, I don't think he is irrational, but I do think he is amoral.
No, I don't think he is irrational, but I do think he is amoral.

As a clinician it frustrates me that we cannot protect others from a person who is a clear and profound danger to so many others.

SPC Kevin Ford - I see nothing logical or valid to Trump's approach of do nothing and just lie. That approach is concluded by a pandemic that became out of control. Now if Trump's intention was to facilitate an out of control pandemic, then he was logical in the process. However, I don't think Trump wanted a large pandemic, but doing nothing was not logical as a means to the end. That tells me his two brain cells are not sufficient enough to make right decisions. Custer had a plan a bad plan, but Trump had no plan as he lied to the country about the threat of the pandemic. What he did was a betrayal to the country. It's a simple if then statement. If I do nothing, then the pandemic will grow in the country.

This is a case of the chickens coming home to roost. While some people continue to stick with Trump, in spite of many indicators he is not worthy of support, I break it down to the basics about judgement. We have two men standing for election as our POTUS.....both made very different choices regarding the pandemic. One chose to downplay it, to ignore the advice of the scientists and experts, to ridicule those who chose to follow the CDC guidelines, and to dangerously expose himself and all those around him to the virus by rarely wearing a mask and continuing to hold events that encouraged large gatherings, with no social distancing and/or masks. The other one listened to the experts and acted accordingly, restricting his movements as much as possible, conducting his campaigning virtually whenever possible, ensuring social distancing and the wearing of masks when he did meet with the public, and stressed the danger of the virus and the need to follow proper protocols. One had to be hospitalized, and administered experimental drugs.....while a good number of his staff and close followers are now in quarantine awaiting their fate. The other one is in good health, as are the people in his immediate circle. So you tell me.....which one has better judgement?

1SG (Join to see) I can respect that. If you think Biden is the best option, by all means vote for hin. I happen to disagree, but I can respect a vote cast with conviction. I cannot respect a vote cast in fear. Which all of those votes cast for 2nd (or 3rd!) choices in 2016, because the 3rs party candidates weren't "realistic" were votes cast in fear.

SFC Casey O'Mally looking at my voter guide and sample ballot right now. There are 6 choices for POTUS. Sure....I could vote for one of the 4 on there that have no chance.....but that would leave the heavy lifting to others to make the best choice possible for our next leader.....then I could walk around saying I didn't vote for either one of them, so don't blame me. Is that pretty much what you are doing? Ducking the hard choice?

SSgt Gary Andrews No. I am voting for who I believe the best candidate is. I refuse to be forced to vote out of fear of the other guy.

Before you lambast the President, is there any proof that the aide got COVID-19 from the White House? Most of the people who work at the White House have lives outside those four walls.

Common sense 101 which I applaud you for without interjecting the politics as I have read above. Thank you for approaching this so intellectually.

SSG(P) (Join to see) Problem is the truth coming from the left is not the truth. However, there are still a few people who can't see that, yet!
