This bought back a fond memory. While stationed in Turkey in 1984 I got the opportunity to watch the Turkish Army fire off a Honest John. It was on a truck launcher and they forgot to pull the pins holding the missile to the truck. Ever seen a truck doing somersaults a quarter mile in the sky? I did. LOL

The US Army did the same thing with a Lance System of off Crete. Sent the launcher down range. They made the mistake of taking a second transporter lock pin with them (the lock pin removes is machined in a manner that allows it to remove the upper APU rod) they forgot to take the actual transporter lock pin out the missile itself. So much for a high score from the evaluators.
