My first assignment in Viet Nam was Company "C", 158th Aviation Battalion, 101st Airborne Division. My first combat assault was in the Ashau Valley. We were waiting on the troops and an RPG landed on my side of the aircraft. I couldn't figure out why they were shooting at me. What had I done to the enemy?? :-)
