They wear whatever their respective procurement division gets approved by the elected officials. Federal agencies have a budget approved by Congress, who also have oversight on purchases. This is only a problem now because of who happens to be in office, not the actual uniform. Fatigues are not only at the Federal level, both state and local law enforcement agencies have camo fatigues, and a bunch of other military grade gear. like the Kevlar or ACH, body armor, and a bunch of other stuff. It serves a purpose.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - US Marshals do more then just protect federal courthouses, they apprehend fugitives, ATF, DEA, and Homeland security all operate in mostly rural areas, in which fatigues assist in camo from suspects. The uniform is tactical, and serves a wide array of purposes. A solid color uniform stands out in a lot of environments in which they operate.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - Depends on the task and conditions. Swat, Hostage, Riot Control, EOD, Counter terrorist. State and local law enforcement usually are the first to arrive before a federal task force is deployed.

Yes it was, old news repeated. Who cares what federal agents wear on operations, it's the mission that is important, not the clothes.

SGT (Join to see) - the ones who care are trying to manipulate perception that the Federal officers sent in response to the riots are military due to the clothing that Congress approved through budgeting and purchase oversight. The only reason it's an issue now is Who is in office, not the clothing itself, and are attempting to portray Trump as a dictator. Quite frankly, if you throw frozen water bottles, fireworks, or part of a mob that does, then you deserve a rubber bullet to the forehead.
