Fox News Poll: Biden holds lead over Trump as coronavirus concerns grip nation

While it is true, it is a national poll and as such not as useful. Remember Hillary won the popular vote but lost the election.

Where the real action is at is by looking at the state by state polls and counting the electors. If we do that, it looks very grimm for Trump there too. If he can't start coming up with a competent COVID response as the second wave intensifies, I think he is doomed. Based on his personality I find it unlikely he will able to do that.

At this point, I believe Trump's only hope is a vaccine or similar and that would have to happen almost immediately. Even then, it is questionable if he would get much credit, i.e. the vaccine was found despite his efforts to cause the deaths of as many Americans as possible through hubris.

Now Biden could drop out of the race for some reason and that may change some things but right now Trump is in deep trouble.
