As long as I am able to stand, I consider it an honor to do so

Those who refuse to stand for the Flag have never been handed a folded Flag that just moments before was draped over the casket of a loved-one. The Flag has a special significance to those of us who have served under that Flag, and will take our last ride with that Flag covering what is left of our mortal remains. Thank you for that beautiful tribute Brother Sgt (Join to see)!

SGT Steve McFarland - I've never been handed a folded flag at a funeral, but I have handed far too many folded flags to grieving widows or other family members. Definitely a humbling experience. You don't even want to know what I think about those that desecrate Old Gory. I'd probably get kicked off of RP if I put it in writing.
