Richmond mayor invokes emergency powers to remove Confederate statues from city

The threat to public safety is directly a result of Mayor Stoney's refusal to enforce laws against rioting and vandalism. As a member of the "Democrat Elite" he is fully invested in the complete erasure of our history and traditions. Every person or nation is the sum of their experiences good and bad. Slavery was an absolute wrong but so also is using 21st century standards to judge 19th century attitudes and behaviors. I don't hear nearly as many people denouncing England, France, pre-WWI Germany, Russia and especially the Soviet Union for their many acts of murder, war, and mayhem. They are not only destroying Confederate monuments, but Union monuments to U.S. Grant, to abolitionists, to Columbus, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. This isn't about turning the page on the Confederacy, this is about the erasure of our history in preparation for the anticipated Democrat-Socialist-Communist remaking of the United States.
