Governors responsibility is to the public. Opening the economy serves the public in the best. As individuals they are responsible for their own safety from the virus. If you are concerned wear a mask and gloves, hell wear an entire bio suit if you think it is necessary. In a state the size of Texas there are numerous counties with no new cases of the virus and a state wide shutdown will hurt more people than than the virus in the long run. Nearly a third of renters have not paid rent since April. Going to be hard for people to social distance and or quarantine when a third of all renters end up on the street.
