We all hate war. But its interesting that he continued to be the 'muscle for big business' all the way to retirement. If he truly felt that way, then why not resign his commission? Oh, that's right. There was no money in that.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen Back then maybe, mabe not. But he had no problems servong after he retired and was out stumping for his book. Just a tad too hypocritical for me.

LTC Trent Klug - Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen He had two Medals of Honor , the Marine Corps Brevet Medal (commonly referred to as the equal of the Medal of Honor), the Navy Distinguished Service Medal, and the Army Distinguished Service Medal. Those five were for bravery. I would not call him a hypocrite. He deserved everything he received including his pension.

It was the depression when he did retire amazing what you can do and say if you don’t have to work for someone else!

SGT (Join to see) Trust me, I know what he had been awarded. Those don't exempt him from being a hypocrite. I I firmly believe he went off on this tangent due to not being selected as Commandant. If he felt he was doing the bidding of big business and he disagreed with the actions taken in the name of the US, he should have resigned his commission. He didn't. He continued on until retirement to complain. In my opinion, that is the epitome of hypocrisy.
