I firmly believe we lack the creativity and imagination to be more effective at preventing suicides. I do not deny that our approach is wrong, surely it is appropriate to tell those who suffer from PTSD who to contact and to not harm oneself. I think the key is finding the switch that eliminates reasons to die with reasons to live. That is where we make our money.

I think part of the issue is that this is not a "one size fits all problem or solution" and that makes it a bad fit for a government solution. The government/VA lack the ability to do fine touch work
