I have mixed feelings about this. We need enough people there to keep the mission running...without Ramstein, for instance, supporting Desert Storm would have been impossible. However, some of the small caserns where troops are stationed are great for the German economy but not so wonderful for the mission. The key here is the mission and supporting it..what's the mission?

I loved my 13 years in Germany during the Cold War but that’s been over many years now. They are fully able to take care of themselves. I’m tired of trying to save a lot of people who hate us and wasting lives and money for nothing. Let them all stew in their own juice. Bring everyone home and cut off all Foreign Aid, especially to the filthy rich Saudi’s!. Just my opinion of course!

Withdrwal from Europe / Germany in particular / is a mistake. It would be different if they had asked us to leave; they did not. This proposed action only serves the ambitions of Putin.
