Poorly written article, but nothing unexpected here. We knew that they would be going after enhanced charges long before any details other than the video from the person in the crowd who decided it would be better to try to go viral than to call for help came out. I still haven't seen any evidence presented that there was a racial component to this, despite it being constantly framed that way.
Yeah, he shouldn't have been kneeling on his back and neck for that long. Of course, they called for medics to come out -- twice -- but nobody cares about that, they just want to call it murder because of the feelings the video evoke. Yeah, the guy was yelling "I can't breathe" loudly. I have seen other folks do that too, usually as they attempted to position themselves for a better chance at escape, or when they were overdosing and their heart was no longer spreading enough oxygen to their system. Kind of like what the coroner originally said, before he got a call advising him to change the autopsy results.
