Djamel Saiid Ali Ameziane has an 11 page Guantanamo DOCKET here:
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/projects/guantanamo/detainees/310-djamel-saiid-ali-ameziane. Criminal activity including purchase and use of false travel documents and identification; staying at al Qaeda and Taliban run guest houses during which time he is suspected to have received basic and special terrorist training; travel and activities with known al Qaeda operatives and leaders; probable hostilities towards US forces and our allies; illegal movement between Afghanistan and Pakistan, etc. While detained by US forces, both in Afghanistan and at the US military detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba he received FREE Qurans, prayer rugs/beads, holy Muslim holiday and halal meals, services of a US military Muslim chaplain, directions to Mecca, world class health, dental and vision care, library, DVD's, TV. video games, sports, recreation and more. He was not abused or tortured, and was treated by Army and all DoD personnel with dignity and respect. As an unlawful combatant he was treated above and beyond the requirements of the Geneva Conventions and Law of War. Neither he nor any of the released 731 unlawful combatant detainees were executed, beheaded, hacked to death, blown up, dragged naked and lifeless through the streets, drowned or burned alive. All things our enemies did to US and/or our allies. He is LUCKY TO BE ALIVE. Sincerely, MAJ (RET) Montgomery J. Granger, US Army, former ranking US Army Medical Department officer with the Joint Detainee Operations Group, Joint Task Force 160, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Author: "Saving Grace at Guantanamo Bay: A Memoir of a Citizen Warrior," and narrator of the documentary short subject based on his book, "Heroes of GITMO."
