American Sniper Movie Banned on Liberal Campuses
It is probably pointless to bring this topic up for discussion because I can probably guess what the most popular opinion over this will be. But just in case you've been hanging out under a rock and was unaware of this, you may be interested to know about this situation. I completely understand that military life and the function therein is not for everyone, but to deprive people of the opportunity for increased knowledge for the sake of not wanting to offend anyone is pure nonsense. In my opinion this is becoming a major trend in our society and I feel that it violates much of what I have believed in for my whole life about our country. I am not a dyed-in-the-wool and ardent fan of this movie, heck I haven't even seen it yet because I am not an avid movie-goer, nor have I been an ardent fan of Chris Kyle...well no more than I am an ardent fan of Private Snuffy Smith. I respect the jobs everyone has in the military and know they are essential to our success as a military force. Some are just more specialized and more dangerous than others. Chris was an excellent SEAL by every account I have read and his demise was not only untimely, but very unfortunate indeed. But anyhow, I think we should have some dialogue over this one, so, as they say, let her rip, tater chip.
