The NDRF has done a great job, both in Telangana and now, West Bengal. Politicians in India will continue to play politics, even as the Covid-19 numbers stack up and daily wagers suffer due to extended Lockdown periods of over 54 days at a stretch. At every possible occasion, people are being fleeced due to these twin national disasters.

Sgt John H., although the Union Government has pledged 1000 crores of rupees to West Bengal cleanup, claims and rebuilding of the economy following the disaster caused by Super Typhoon Amphan, the loss of lives and the devastation will definitely leave a void.

I bet the virus is complicating the situation. However, the disaster should take priority!

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel, all is well Brother.
The NDRF has been prepared and committed to responding to this situation in a drive to save lives and provide for them. In fact, the NDRF responded to twin disasters effectively and efficiently.
In India, politicians will continue to play politics, even during and after natural calamities. People will try to fleece others in these trying times, when daily wagers are suffering due to the financial crisis caused by Covid-19; people are losing their jobs, despite Government asking businesses not to put talent out to pastures. Many daily wagers have no resolve, except to leave the cities and return to their villages. However, upon return to the village, the Panchayat might decide not to allow entry, even after the 28-day quarantine.
