Good Saturday afternoon my RP Brothers and Sisters!
I am a bit late with my first Music Interlude song for today, but I am remedying that right now with a great song by featured artist Carly SImon performing "You're So Vain" in a wonderful venue in beautiful Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts in (I believe) August 2008. I think on another song at this venue I referred to it as being in Nantucket... My apologies for that error... This a wonderful song, and I hope you like it on this Saturday afternoon!

That song brings back a lot of fond memories Sgt (Join to see). I first heard it when I was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas after I returned from Vietnam. You're So Vain and Brandy by Looking Glass were probably the first two songs I heard and I fell in love with both of them and still listen to them more than 45 years later. Thanks for the memories!

When this song first appeared on the charts there was speculation as to whom she might have been referring. I learned a bit later out of an interview with her that it was Warren Beatty. Apparently, they were an item at some point and if the song is any indication, it didn't go well.

LTC Wayne Brandon - No doubt about it, so do I, Wayne... I cannot say that about FaceBook and Twitter seems to be mostly all politics... We have a great medium here on RP...

Sgt (Join to see) - To my thinking, this site offers a higher maturity level (In most cases) than you are likely to find on FB. I only go there to keep track of my kids and grand children and a couple of friends. I have about 20 real friends and 60 strap-hangers which contrasts sharply with the number of people I've blocked. It has to be two or three hundred; regrettably even some family members.

LTC Wayne Brandon - I hear you, Wayne... I no longer do very much because of the diatribe I get on a daily basis... I have some good friends on FB, and my adult children and two grandchildren, so that is okay... I bounced over to twitter to follow the political scene, but even that can get boring... I am never bored on RP and I feel we all have an opportunity of expressing ourselves and learning more about others likes and dislikes on a more mature level...

Sgt (Join to see) - Agreed. Last evening I received a request to link with an AF SMS Asbury who happens to be a coin dealer. We have had a couple of brief conversations and he has agreed to guide me on how to get my collection graded.
There is a great deal of diversity on this site and it seems I get to learn a little bit about a lot of things which I find enjoyable.
