There is some good information in the article but some incorrect information too. The "left" media outlets certainly did cover the early Chinese coverup. It's pretty easy to assume media outlets you don't listen too are not covering things. Here is a contemporaneous article.

The author also mentions that the WHO was somehow involved in the coverup but provides no evidence for that claim.
It was good that Trump closed the borders in late January. But it is also reasonable to conclude that by his prior actions his political detractors would be suspicious of his motives. It's too bad he didn't then follow up using the plan in place to deal with such an event and the travel restriction was wasted.

I note that the article also fails to detail the dates and the number of times that Trump defended the actions of China with regards to their handling of the virus...and their transparency.

To be totally honest when it comes to Trump most of the left leaning media would rather print lies or twist the actual truth.

MSG Francisco Ojeda - Well lets see you must be some of the left wing media, never said Trump has not said some things, but any idiot that thinks MMSNBC, CNN, the Times etc is reporting the truth is as smart as a box of rock.

SSgt Gary Andrews - Well I guess it goes both ways, but I will say Fox has called out Trump in the past. Unlike the left wing media and their inability to actually report facts and truths.
