Very interesting. I will admit to the cliche' - you learn something new everyday! For me, I just learned there's a position called the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman, JCS. That's interesting.

SGM (R) Antonio Brown
It is the most Senior Enlisted position in the entire Armed Forces. Some people have heartache because it is not a CSM position.

That's kinda confusing to me. SMA is technically not a "CSM." It's a STAFF position. What are we splitting hairs about? It's <semantics> a senior enlisted advisor position. Are they thinking senior enlisted "leader"? Help me to better understand? None of the other branches have "reefs." Stars yes. Staff position. Educate me about the rationale?
