So, now a political ad released by a named PAC is the rough equivalent of Russian "meddling" in our election? If the ad is inaccurate it will be about the millionth inaccurate political ad ever released.

MAJ James Woods - Using political opponents words out of context is not a new invention this election cycle. Lying about a candidates record isn't either. You are just upset because Obama is upset.

Cpl Jeff N. - This isn't out of context. This is intentionally lying for the purpose of disinformation. If I was to make criticism of Mayor Bloomberg and then you publicize my comments as criticism of Trump in an attack ad, that's not taking something out of context, that is intentional disinformation propaganda. Can't believe we're justifying this as acceptable political campaigning. No wonder our democracy is going to hell.

SGT Cort Landry - So you have an example of Trump saying something about someone else (Pelosi, Schiff) being claimed as Trump talking about a different person (Bloomberg, Romney)? If so, I would still claim that form of disinformation needs to be stopped not acceptable politicking.

Show me a campaign ad that used intentional disinformation by taking comments from a person and unrelated event to slander Trump and I will gladly say the same thing I said above. An ad where Trump actually said what the ad claims he said about an issue or topic doesn't count.

I believe that if it true why stop it. Why is it ok to lie about POTUS but not for the communist socialist party? This is suppression of speech. They should not stop the commercial

Isn't intentionally lying called "libel"? So if what Obama said was about someone else and not Biden that should be used against Biden? If something Bush said about someone else and not Trump should that be used against Trump? Do we not understand intentional propaganda disinformation should not be considered acceptable "free speech".

MAJ James Woods however, if we start making decisions on what free speech is based on our biases, we are now entering in a totalitarian mentality where only what we approve is free speech. If someone has a problem because someone is lying about someone else, let them take it to court, but not to stop free speech, but for the liable issue. We MUST stand AND protect the constitution, WHICH WE SWORE TO PROTECT AND DEFEND against all enemies. That includes some saying stupid things. I just wish everyone would fact check all parties and not be so selective.

SPC Juan Alvaradoplatero - What you're condoning is propaganda of intentional disinformation and lies is "free speech". One can't get more totalitarian than that.
