Trump expresses optimism for US peace deal with Taliban

Cautiously optimistic is about right. If the "truce" survives the spring offensive season, then we can begin to have some real confidence we're getting somewhere with the Taliban. If this pans out and we get a solid peace agreement after 19 years of conflict, I expect the mainstream media will bury it on page 20, below the fold.
