Sounds like he needs a psychiatric facility and not a jail. Once they cut him loose he will probably commit an offense and get thrown in civilian jail and eventually the psychiatric wing of that jail.

UNSAT...This kid obviously shouldn't have been recruited BUT that is besides the point. He made it through to Boot Camp and now we the Govt have to handle our business. As my Grandmother used to say...crap or get off the pot...This isn't fair to him, the Corps, or the American Taxpayer. He should have gotten help immediately then discharged.

He didn't complete Boot Camp. I don't agree with him being in the brig that long either, however, had he been discharged and done some nefarious deed, the Marines would be blamed for that too. Perhaps a better research job done by his recruiter would have kept this from happening.
