I actually looked at his budget in the Transportation area and it is confusing to say the least. Suspend all funds for MagLev Train research.....OK that makes sense that technology is not going anywhere and most other countries including China have abandoned it. Then he allocates 500 million for the new Long Distance Train division of Amtrak.........which does not exist yet and is only a dream of the CEO and $500 million won't even keep it in operation for a year without a substantial cut. So OK onto other areas he is trying to cut the % increase of each budget......which other Presidents have tried and the Media claims they are cuts in spending without explaining they are cuts in increases in spending. So that part was business as usual. However in other areas he does have deep cuts in the programs vs not just the spending increases. Does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to some of the cuts and the cuts are inconsistent between programs. Overall very hard to follow what he is doing with his budget. Doesn't really matter though because all budgets from any past POTUS are usually dead on arrival once they get to Congress and Congress completely redoes them.
