PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Perhaps requiring certain testosterone levels would level the playing field?

To a certain degree but what’s the harm in allowing any FTM to compete with the boys? Going the other way, there are only so many options available at a young age, mainly puberty blockers. It generally accepted that trans youth are not eligible for surgery until 18, 16 at the earliest. Often cross-sex hormones are not administered until 16, possibly a year or 2 earlier at most. Additionally, puberty blockers cannot be started until youth reach Tanner stage 2 of development which requires increased T levels to a certain extent. Lastly, testosterone is not the be all end all of athletic success in all sports.
