"Do firearms belong in churches?" is a silly question. Any space open to the public is open to firearms whether permitted or not. To be accurate, even private places are open to firearms when those with access choose to carry them to those places. To forbid carrying a firearm into any place is effective only with those who obey the rules. All who enter with firearms illegally are, by definition, out of control. Therefore, everyplace must plan and prepare to deal with armed lawbreakers or suffer the consequences.

That question is posed because there are many Christians who are adamantly-opposed to any form of church security, and some of them are very vocal and have large followings.

SGT Steve McFarland - I understood that and wasn't impugning your take on the question. It's a question being asked by others and it's silly.

I wish no one COULD bring one in, but since they can, we have to plan for that.
