I worked with a soldier before he lost an eye, some fingers and his leg below the knee from a precision-made EFP shaped charge bomb made in Iran..I suspect one or more of the ramp ceremonies I went to may have had a sophisticated IED made involved in the death of US soldiers in Kirkuk, Iraq in 2004-2005.

They have been behind the scenes of a number of IEDs, bombings, etc carried out by others.

Ahhh yes. My friend and his unit had a fire fight with Iranian Quds Force in Iraq on one of his deployments.
