That's right, blame the other guy! People see through your presenting unprofessional garbage on air and you try to blame someone who is doing it better.

What if the American people - at least the ones that actually watch the news and follow the issues - are actually smarter than some people think?
Of all things to reflect on and determine what went well and what went wrong, the best they can do right now is blaming Fox News?
Let me be of assistance.
The issue here is credibility. Trump - not so credible. Schiff/Pelosi/Nadler - not so credible either. Dem Presidential Candidates - LOL, nope. The credible ones all got ran out of the race for making sense. News media - MIGHT have gotten a couple of significant issues wrong. Like you know, election results, Russia collusion, Stormy, Kavenaugh...
So anyway, when all of these factions have put out demonstrably false information, people tend to go with two things: the eyeball test and their wallet.
The eyeball test is the one that is more contested. At issue there is what these folks are actually DOING. If the Congress doesn't pass (that is, actually signed into law, not show votes) any significant legislation for the entire term so far, people notice and start to ask pointed questions. Especially when these guys ran on things like infrastructure projects, lowering prescription drug prices, and humanely dealing with the homeless problem and opioid addiction. Instead, we get bullshit like the Green New Deal (LOL, that was an abortion), the Mueller report dud, and the current adventures in impeachment. Americans want their leaders to look after their interests, and this ain't it.
Meanwhile the media plays marching music that literally parrots directly the circulated talking points of the party they are covering, with barely a skeptic's eye. Those montages Tucker (a buffoon, BTW) plays are really, REALLY effective at undercutting their narrative, and they keep doing it.
As for the President, he indeed frustrates his voters with his diversions and antics. But he also has gotten results, notably with the economy, judicial confirmations, and ISIS. Those things count for a lot, and it shows with his hard floor in the polls, even during bad news cycles. But those antics make reasonable people explore alternatives, so...
The Democratic candidates completely dropped the ball lurching far left. People would give them a shot, but simply won't when they find out these lofty ideas cost tens of trillions, as Sen Warren found out. Biden seems to be the beneficiary, but he is creeping leftward as well, and he is, frankly, really looking old and dottering on the trail.
As for voting with their wallet, that is squarely and completely to Trump's advantage. He has clearly formulated policy with an eye towards economic gain, and it has borne results. Short of a recession, I don't see how this could go any other way than Trump's favor.
So unless the Democrats can fix their optics and actually get some stuff done - which seems unlikely in an impeachment environment - they will lose, and lose substantially.
Just the world according to Jerry.

However, there remains a large segment of society that believe, or want to believe, the biased garbage spewed out daily and profess to be news.
