Soldiers can now wear coyote brown fleece caps with combat uniforms

Items like this are at command discretion so some yahoo doesn’t show up at a promotion ceremony wearing one. Having seen your name pop up numerous times lately, I would caution a young NCO to do less opining and more asking.

What if I told you that literally every part of the uniform is at the discretion of the commander? Because it is. All of these uniform changes are 100% authorized; the commander still has the discretion to set a policy on when and where and how to wear the uniform. I people think about this too much.

Good. Everything else with the OCP is brown. Why not that?
