The needs of the service demanded that I spend my first three months in Vietnam as Chief Casualty Officer for the 9th Infantry Division. By the time they let me out of that job I was demanding a platoon of my own but they had other plans for me. Forgive me brothers and sisters. I can't seem to forgive myself
