It just goes to show what kind of people the Furguson PD have to contend with daily.
This is not an isolated act. It is very clearly the result of the inflammed tensions fanned by irresponsible parties. No doubt those same people will be very muted in their response in the coming days.
Bold prediction #1: people will try to draw a moral equivelency argument between this shooting and Michael Brown's and that there should be no prosecution of the perpetrators.
Bold prediction #2: it will be said out loud by someone that the shooter(s) just "couldn't help themselves because they were so upset by the non-prosecution of the police" and that they were "victims of a broken system".
Bold prediction #3: the Justice Department will not look into this potential hate crime with anything resembling the zeal with which they did in the previous shooting.

Although there has been tensions in Ferguson since last summer it simmered down until the DOJ decided to rekindle the glowing embers. This was very irresponsible and they should be held accountable just as much as the actual shooters. However, that will not happen and we will have to live with the fallout for days and weeks to come.

I have a buddy that I went through academy with who is an officer in North County (St Louis). It is a warzone down there & it isn't even really be perpetrated by the VAST majority of residents of Ferguson. The majority of actual residents are the ones that were holding peaceful vigils & trying to keep sanity.

SSgt (Join to see) thank you for sharing the first hand insight. I can believe that it is a select minority that just want to cause trouble.
